Medical interpreters are not available in the hospital. Please visit the hospital accompanied by an interpreter if needed.

For the first visit

  1. For patients visiting the hospital for the first time, please come to Counter No. 3 on the first floor of the main building. If you have a medical referral letter, please come to Counter No.1.
  2. After a reception slip is issued, bring it to the counter of the clinical department you need to visit.

For return visits

  1. For patients returning to the hospital, please come to Counter No. 4 on the first floor of the main building.
  2. After a reception slip is issued, bring it to the counter of the clinical department you need to visit.

Things to bring

  • Health insurance card (Please note that medical treatment fees need to be fully paid if you do not submit your health insurance card.)
  • Passport
  • Medical referral letter

Please note that for patients visiting the hospital for the first time without a referral from another medical institution, a special fee of 7,700 yen (including tax) for your first consultation will be charged, in addition to the fees for medical treatment. A special fee of 3,300 yen (including tax) for your return consultation will be charged.

If you need to see a doctor in an emergency out of hours or on days when the hospital is closed

  1. Please call emergency reception (main number: 087-831-7101), and explain your symptoms, age, gender, etc. If you go to the hospital regularly, tell us on the phone.
  2. Come to the hospital with your health insurance card (Please note that medical treatment fees need to be fully paid if you do not submit your health insurance card.)
  3. Upon arrival at the hospital, please come to the emergency and out-of-hours counter on the first floor of the central medical treatment building.
  • Medical examination is available 24 hours, including days when the hospital is closed.
  • For emergency outpatient care, patients with serious diseases or injuries will be prioritized. Other patients may be examined later or wait for a longer time depending on their condition. If you are too sick to wait, please tell us at the reception counter.
  • For patients who want to see a doctor at night or during holidays, a special fee of 7,700 yen (including tax) for out-of-hours service will be charged by the hospital.
  • Because medical fees cannot be calculated at night, a deposit (10,000-15,000 yen) is required.
  • An adjustment of the deposit can be made at the following counters. Please come to the counter with the deposit receipt and your health insurance card during business hours.

Inpatient care

Inpatient care procedures

  • If inpatient care is deemed necessary as a result of the consultation with a doctor, please come to Counter No. 9 (inpatient care reception) on the first floor of the main building.
  • When you submit your health insurance card, required documents such as the hospital admission application form will be provided. Fill them out and submit them at the inpatient care reception or the ward's nurses' station by the following day.

Instructions for hospital admission

  • Bring underwear, shoes, a shaver, etc. Please bring minimum necessary items only, because storage space is limited.
  • Daily necessities and other items can be purchased at the kiosk on the first floor of the main building.
  • Hospital meals are prepared at proper temperature according to patient's condition by registered dietitians. It is advisable to have hospital meals in principle, because they are a part of treatment.
  • Please note that we shall not be responsible for lost or stolen property in the hospital.
  • No smoking on the hospital premises (including e-cigarettes)
  • If a large-scale disaster occurs, take charge of your own safety as much as possible, stay calm, and take action, following the staff's instructions and guidance.

Visiting and inquiring about patients

  • Visiting and inquiring about patients in the hospital are limited to the following hours due to exams or rest. We kindly ask you to visit patients for 30 minutes at most so as to not put burdens on him or her. We ask for your cooperation.
  • Please note that visiting a patient may not be allowed depending on his or her condition.

  • Use a day room for visiting whenever possible. Please be quiet so as not to disturb other patients.
  • Please refrain from visiting patients in large groups. Also, to prevent infection, people with young children, or people who have high fevers, vomiting, or diarrhea are not allowed to visit patients.
  • We kindly ask people visiting patients to refrain from eating and drinking in the hospital room.
Discharge
  • Doctor's permission is required to be discharged from the hospital.
  • Please note that the discharge date cannot be specified.
  • You are requested to check out of the hospital room by 10:00 on the discharge date in principle.
  • You are requested to pay medical bills within five days of receiving them.
